An Extra 24-Hours
Leap Year Day. Most everyone I talk with complains they never have enough time. But, today we were given the gift of an extra 24-hours. What did you do with your present?
Gifts can be:
* Practical. Translation - “I cleaned out my files and then made sales calls.”
* Unwanted. Translation - “My production goals were higher because this February has an extra day.”
* Frivolous. Translation - “This gives me time to shop for new cubicle accessories.”
* Humorous. Translation - “Let’s get crazy and close the office.”
In your leadership position, you probably had greater control of what kind of gift you gave yourself today. You also had the power to ‘gift’ your team. I hope you gifted wisely—if not, plan now for 2012.
